Environmental Compliance In Illinois - The Basics

(Registration located at bottom of this page)(LINK)

A Comprehensive Three-Session Series to Introduce and Review Illinois Environmental Requirements.

Whether new to the field, responsible for environmental issues as only one of your many responsibilities, or one member of a group employed to address different environmental media specialties, you are faced, almost daily, with an increasingly complex universe of environmental regulations. These regulations constantly change, as often do the people involved in compliance.  These seminars will provide the whos, whats, whens, wheres, whys, and hows necessary to understand, achieve and maintain compliance, and offer insight to the intricacies of cross-media requirements.

A Practical Approach!
Unlike many environmental seminars structured to present the points of view of various interest groups, these sessions are designed to detail the technical and legal requirements necessary for compliance. While debating the merits of a particular regulation many have great value, these sessions are not structured as debates, but are aimed to assist you in meeting the expectations of the regulations.

Attend 1, 2, or all 3 sessions!
We
strongly believe the greatest benefit is gained by attending all three sessions, and have structured them accordingly.

Why Attend These Sessions?
New to the field?
These sessions offer the nuts and bolts of environmental compliance. This regulatory matters series assumes that your main goal is to learn about basic environmental regulatory matters, and to understand what you have to do to comply.  The presentations are made from the prospective of those who administer the programs and the law.

Only responsible for one media?  You can't be an expert in everything, but you can have a basic understanding of the big picture.

Hire Consultants?
If your facility, like many, relies on outside help to assure compliance, you will find these sessions a major plus. To best manage and utilize outside talent, you need to understand the basics as well. In fact, you might want to bring your outside environmental advisor along!

Your Questions Will Be Answered!

Our intent is that you leave these sessions with a clear understanding of:

· How the pieces and parts of Illinois' Environmental System fit together;

· When permits and reports are required for all media; and

· What to prepare and how to respond to compliance, inspection and
enforcement issues.

The presentations will be given in an informal format with questions encouraged at any time to assure maximum give and take. Presenters will stop at any time to answer your questions! Plus, the afternoon panel session gives you one last crack at the presenters to have your issues addressed.

We encourage you to pre-file questions, so that presenters are prepared to address your specific questions, and meet your needs!  The only limit to how much you get out of this program is how much you ask for.
