To Our Member
Companies and Friends:
This year the Illinois Environmental Regulatory Group
(“IERG”) celebrated 20 years of helping shape environmental law
and policy in Illinois. Over
the years, IERG has influenced the development of the Illinois
Environmental Protection Act and resulting environmental regulations
as they evolved to meet changing, and often increasing, demands on
State resources. IERG has
been the force behind ensuring that the interests of industry are
never far from the minds of the regulators, emphasizing the need for
reasonable regulatory measures.
IERG strives to achieve the balance that protects public
health and the environment, and affords growth and opportunity for the
State’s economic engine – Illinois Industry.
IERG maintains that this balanced approach can, and does,
produce reasonable regulations which, in turn, provide for both the
physical and economic health of all Illinois’ citizens.
Through active participation and vigilance, IERG will
remain engaged with the regulators.
Keeping its hand on the pulse of statutory and regulatory
development, IERG will continue to serve and protect its Members’
interests.
